Project Description:
A key piece of program, which is set in the larger master plan of the Free Trade Zone established by China of Waigaoqiao, is the Sunland International Museum & Hotel. The structure is conceived based on Vitruvius’s golden triangle geometry, the circular portion of the Museum slowly rotates and jets out to create the complementary wing of the Hotel block. The pixelated façade portion of the circular Museum allows a myriad of light conditions to penetrate exhibition spaces. The amount of light is controlled simply by the density and transparency of the panels to support the exhibit space within the museum for optimum performance of the user experience.
